Kim is a senior communications specialist and storyteller who uses her professional and personal skills to positively contribute to communities. She grew up in regional NSW, on the lands of the Bundjalung, and shares Rise Foundation Australia’s belief in the power of local action and mental health education for all.
Kim’s work experience spans the government, development, not-for-profit and professional services sectors. She has extensive experience delivering change management projects and communication strategies in Australia and around the world. As a communications consultant, Kim now lends her expertise to socially conscious organisations. As well as being part of the Rise family, she is a proud Director of Australia’s Community Broadcasting Foundation.
Kim is particularly passionate about suicide prevention following the loss of her aunt to suicide some years ago. She met Rise Foundation Australia founder Ben when she was working as Deputy CEO for Suicide Prevention Australia and will never forgive him for making her run in between a fitness model and professional rugby league player when taking part in his charity treadmill challenge.
